Four screen qualities, your choice

A crack is more than a cosmetic problem. Dirt and moisture reach the layers underneath through the split, and a few weeks later broken glass has turned into lines across the display or a touch layer that taps by itself. That is why we replace the complete assembly, so glass, image and touch are matched to each other again. You choose the quality yourself: original, premium OLED, refurbished or compatible. Compatible is the most affordable choice and is fine for everyday use, while original is exactly what came out of the factory. The price table on this page shows which versions are available for your model.

Frequently asked questions about iPad screen repair

How long does a screen replacement take?
On a phone it normally takes around 30 minutes and we do it while you wait. On a MacBook or laptop, count on one to two working days, because the machine has to come further apart for it. You will hear which of the two applies to your model before you leave it with us.
What is the difference between the four screen qualities?
Compatible is the most affordable option: a perfectly usable image for normal use. Refurbished is an original panel that has been rebuilt. Premium OLED comes close to the original on colour and black levels. The original option is the manufacturer's own panel, so on Apple devices an original Apple screen. Every available quality is listed with its price in the table, so you can weigh it up yourself.
Only the glass is cracked, can that be replaced on its own?
On most modern devices, no. Glass, display panel and touch layer are laminated into one part at the factory, and separating them is riskier and often dearer than replacing the whole assembly. We look at your device free of charge and tell you honestly which route makes sense in your case.
Can I keep using a cracked screen for a while?
Usually you can, but you are taking two risks. Loose splinters cut your fingers, and moisture creeps through the crack to the layer underneath, so the image or the touch fails later anyway. At that point a screen repair turns into a bigger job. Better to have it done straight away.
