The repairs others turn down

Many repair shops only swap complete assemblies and send you to Apple for the rest. We also work at component level, for instance repairing a logic board after a short circuit or liquid damage. That often saves hundreds of euros compared with a full board replacement, and it rescues a MacBook that would otherwise be written off.

Drop in, book a collection or post it

You will find us at Rijnstraat 76-H in the Rivierenbuurt, close to Amsterdam RAI station and a short cycle from the Zuidas. If you work on the Zuidas and cannot be without your laptop during the day, we can collect it and bring it back as soon as it is ready. If you live further away, you can also send your MacBook to us by insured post.

Frequently asked questions about MacBook repair

How long does a MacBook repair take?

Replacing a battery or keyboard is usually done within one working day. A screen replacement takes one to two working days depending on the model. Component-level logic board work takes longer because the board has to be measured out in detail; you will hear how long after the diagnosis.

What does a diagnosis cost?

Nothing. We establish what is wrong free of charge and call you with the outcome and the price. We only start the repair once you agree. If you decide against it, you are under no obligation.

Do you repair liquid damage on a MacBook?

Yes. With liquid damage speed matters most: the sooner the machine reaches us, the better the odds of saving it. Switch your MacBook off, stop using it and bring it in as soon as you can. We clean the board and restore the affected components where possible.

Will my files be preserved?

With most repairs your drive is left alone and everything is still there afterwards. Do make a Time Machine backup first, especially with liquid damage or a MacBook that no longer starts, because the state of the drive is uncertain then. If you can no longer make a backup yourself, say so and we will see whether we can secure the data first.

Is a repair still worth it on an older MacBook?

That depends on the model and what has failed. Replacing a battery or keyboard in a five-year-old MacBook is almost always the smarter option over buying new. If an expensive part fails in a genuinely old machine, we will tell you honestly that you are better off saving the money towards a replacement.
