Repair at component level
Most workshops only swap complete assemblies and send you elsewhere when the board is at fault. We measure the board out, trace the failure back to the component causing it and replace that part. Think of a shorted power rail after liquid damage, a burnt-out charging chip after a bad adapter, or a damaged backlight circuit that leaves you reading the display by torchlight. That is soldering work under a microscope on parts the size of a grain of sand, and it takes longer than any other repair. It does pay off: your own board stays in the machine, and with it, usually, your data and your settings.
Frequently asked questions about iPhone logic board repair
My device shows no sign of life, is that the logic board?
Often, but not always. A dead battery, a broken charging port or a failed screen all look the same from the outside: nothing. So we first measure whether power is coming in and where it stops, before saying anything about the board. That diagnosis is free.
What does a diagnosis cost?
Nothing. We establish what is wrong and call you with the outcome and the price. We only start once you agree. If you decide against the repair, for instance because it is no longer worth it on an old device, you are under no obligation and we will say so honestly.
How long does a logic board repair take?
Longer than the other repairs. Measuring the board out takes most of the time, and now and then a second fault appears behind the first. After the diagnosis you get a realistic estimate rather than a guess, and once we have agreed a price, that price stands.
Will my data be preserved?
Because we repair the board rather than replace it, the storage is left alone in most cases and everything is still there afterwards. We cannot guarantee it, though, especially not with liquid damage or a short circuit. If you can no longer make a backup yourself, say so and we will see whether we can secure the data first.
