Nintendo Switch repair in Amsterdam

Stick drift, a cracked screen or charging that has given up? Free diagnosis.

Free diagnosis before we start Lifetime warranty on the part Free diagnosis Rijnstraat 76-H, Amsterdam

Blue Apple repairs Nintendo Switch in Amsterdam Zuid, from the first model to the Lite and the OLED. Pick your model below and you will see what the repair costs. If you are unsure which you have, bring it in: the Lite is one piece, and on the other models the controllers slide off.

The Switch is a console you take with you, and that shows in what fails on it. A device that lives in a bag takes in dust and dirt and gets dropped at some point. The two complaints we see most are stick drift, where your character moves while you are not touching the stick, and a charging port that gives up because the console goes in and out of the dock daily.

Stick drift and the charging port

Stick drift happens because the sensor in the stick wears and dirt works its way in, not because you did something wrong. Cleaning sometimes helps for a while, but once the drift comes back the part is done and we replace the stick. That is a smaller and cheaper job than buying a whole new controller. The charging port is the second: it takes force with every dock movement and on most models is soldered in place, so that is soldering work. And as always we test first with a cable and charger we know to be good, because sometimes the console is not the problem.

Frequently asked questions about Nintendo repair

My character moves while I am not touching the stick.
That is stick drift: the sensor in the stick is worn and dirt has got into it. Cleaning sometimes helps temporarily, but if the drift returns the part is done and we replace the stick. That is a good deal cheaper than buying a new controller.
My Switch will not charge, or only charges in the dock.
Bring your dock, cable and adapter and we will rule those out first. If it is the port in the console itself, on most models that is soldered in place and becomes soldering work in the workshop. If there is only lint in the port, we clean it and that is the end of it.
How long does a Switch repair take?
Replacing a stick is usually quick. A screen, or a charging port that is soldered in, is workshop work: then you leave the console with us and hear at the diagnosis when it will be ready.
Will my save games be kept?
The repairs above do not touch the storage, so your saves stay as they are. If you have Nintendo Switch Online, many saves are also in the cloud, which is always a good idea as a backstop on a console you carry around.
What does a diagnosis cost?
Nothing. We establish what is wrong and tell you the outcome and the price. We only start once you agree. If you say no, you are under no obligation.
