The Pixel is a phone whose camera and software are tuned tightly to each other, and that has consequences for the repair. We measure a camera module out after fitting rather than simply plugging it in, because otherwise you see the difference in your photos. After a screen replacement: set up the fingerprint again

If your Pixel has the fingerprint reader under the display, it is part of the panel. A screen replacement therefore takes the sensor with it and you will need to register your fingers again. We do that with you before you leave, and we check that it responds across the whole area rather than only in the centre. On the Pro Fold models there is one more difference: they have two screens, and the inner one is a folding panel with a hinge and a film layer. That is a dearer and more involved repair than a flat outer display, so after the free diagnosis we tell you which of the two yours needs and what it costs.

Where to find us in Amsterdam

Our workshop is on Rijnstraat 76-H in the Rivierenbuurt, walking distance from Amsterdam RAI station and close to the Zuidas, De Pijp and Oud-Zuid. Tram 4 brings you to the door from the centre. If you cannot come in, we will collect your Pixel and return it after the repair, or you can send it by insured post.

Frequently asked questions about Google Pixel repair

How long does a Pixel repair take?

On the common models a screen or battery usually takes about 30 minutes and we do it while you wait, provided the part is in stock. A folding inner display or work on the board is workshop work; then you hear how long it takes at the diagnosis.

Do I have to set up my fingerprint again?

On models from the Pixel 6 onwards, yes, because the reader sits in the screen and so comes with the new panel. It takes a minute and we do it with you before you head out, so you know it works.

Will my camera be as good after a repair?

That is something we watch. Pixels lean heavily on software for their photography, so after fitting a module we measure it out and take a few photos and a video with you. If you see anything you are unsure about, we look at it again there and then.

Do you repair the Pixel Fold?

Yes. The outer screen is a fairly ordinary repair; the inner folding panel is not, being a dearer part and more work because of the hinge and the film layer above it. Come in for a free diagnosis and you will know exactly where you stand.

Is there a warranty on the repair?

There is a lifetime warranty on the part we fit. If something goes wrong afterwards with what we replaced, you come back and we sort it out. The price we agree up front stands; nothing is added afterwards.
