Bring your cable and charger

Because fast charging needs a healthy chain, we always test with a cable and adapter we know to be good before replacing anything. Cables fail at the strain relief and adapters deliver less current after a few years, and in a good share of cases the fault is there rather than in the phone. So bring your own cable and charger when you come in and we will put them side by side with ours. If it is the port itself, we look at it under the microscope; if there is only a plug of lint in it, we clean it and that is the end of it, instead of you paying for a part you did not need.

Where to find us in Amsterdam

Our workshop is on Rijnstraat 76-H in the Rivierenbuurt, walking distance from Amsterdam RAI station and close to the Zuidas, De Pijp and Oud-Zuid. Tram 4 brings you to the door from the centre. If you cannot come in, we will collect your phone and return it after the repair, or you can send it by insured post.

Frequently asked questions about OnePlus repair

My OnePlus no longer charges quickly, is the battery worn out?

Perhaps, but start with the cable and the adapter. Fast charging drops back to slow charging as soon as anything in the chain is off, and that looks exactly like a worn-out battery. Bring your own cable and charger and we will rule that out in five minutes.

How long does a OnePlus repair take?

On the common models a screen or battery takes about 30 minutes and we do it while you wait, provided the part is in stock. If the charging port is soldered to the board it is workshop work, so allow one to two working days.

Does the charging port always have to be replaced?

No. If there is only lint and dirt in it, we clean the port and that is the end of it. The diagnosis is free and commits you to nothing, so you find out at no risk whether cleaning is all it needs.

Is there a warranty on the repair?

There is a lifetime warranty on the part we fit, and the price we agree up front stands. If you notice anything afterwards about what we replaced, you come back and we look at it again.
