A Mac Studio is an expensive workstation. Parts — especially the logic board and the power supply — cost more as the chip gets dearer. Blue Apple in Amsterdam gives a fixed price per model: Max lower than Ultra, diagnosis free.

The Studio has no display and no battery. What we repair is the power supply (a known weak point), the fans, Thunderbolt and HDMI ports, water damage and the logic board. An Ultra board is a large fraction of a new machine, which is why that price sits above a Max. We say so if replacement is cheaper.

Why does a Mac Studio repair cost more than a Mac mini?

The machine itself costs more — a Max starts around the price of three Mac minis, an Ultra more again. Power supply and logic board scale with that.

Can you repair a Mac Studio power supply?

Yes. The power supply is a common fault. The fixed price is on each model page, including VAT and labour.

Do you repair M1, M2 and the latest M4 Max / M3 Ultra?

Yes. Each of those generations is listed separately, with a higher logic-board price for Ultra than for Max.
