An Apple Watch is worn all day, in the shower, at the gym and on every doorframe, and the faults it collects are the faults of a small thing worn on the wrist: a cracked front, a battery that fades, a crown that sticks. The Series 7 and later share a larger display and most of their parts, and so most of their repairs.
Blue Apple repairs the Apple Watch Series 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, in both sizes, at Rijnstraat 76-H in Amsterdam. Each model has its own page with the repairs we offer for it: start at the Apple Watch repair page.
What is different about the Apple Watch Series 7 to 11
- A larger display from the Series 7. The Series 7 gave the watch a bigger screen that goes closer to the edge of the case, in 41 and 45 mm sizes, then 42 and 46 mm from the Series 10. The model page shows which size yours is.
- A fused display. The glass and the OLED panel are bonded together. A cracked front means a new display, which is why the screen is the most costly repair.
- A Digital Crown and a side button. The crown turns and presses, and takes sweat, soap and dust. It is the part that sticks first.
- Water resistant, not waterproof. The watch is rated for swimming, but the seals age and are weakened by drops and repairs.
What usually goes wrong with the Apple Watch Series 7 to 11
- Cracked or damaged display. The most common repair. The model page lists the options we offer for your watch, original or premium OLED, and what each costs.
- Battery that no longer lasts the day. After a few years the battery gives a fraction of its life. On an older watch a swollen battery can lift the display, and should be replaced at once.
- Digital Crown or side button that sticks. Sweat, soap or grit in the crown. We clean or replace it depending on what is wrong.
- Water in the watch. A watch that fogs up or acts strangely after a swim. Dry it and bring it in quickly, before corrosion sets in.
- Does not charge. A dirty charging back, a worn charger or a fault inside.

Repair or replace?
An Apple Watch of the Series 7 to 11 generation is worth repairing, because a screen or a battery costs far less than a new watch and the watch keeps its straps, its settings and its history. If it has been in water and no longer starts, we say after the diagnosis what can be done.
Looking after your Apple Watch
- Use a screen protector or a bumper case. The front takes the knocks on doorframes and desks.
- Rinse after the gym or the sea. Salt and sweat age the crown and the seals.
- Clean the charging back. A dirty back is a common reason a watch charges badly.
