The recent Pixels are well-made phones with a big camera bar, a bright OLED display and long software support, which makes them worth repairing for longer than most Android phones. They are also young enough that warranty and insurance still matter, and that the faults are mainly the ones from drops and water.

What is different about the Pixel 9, 10 and 11
- A camera bar across the back. The raised bar holds the lenses behind glass. A cracked lens cover shows up as flare or soft photos, and it is a repair of its own.
- A fingerprint sensor under the display. The sensor reads through the screen, so the quality of a replacement display affects how well unlock works.
- The Pro Fold is a folding phone. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold and its successors have a folding inner display that is repaired with the same care as any foldable.
- USB-C and wireless charging. They charge over USB-C and wirelessly. The port is the part that wears from daily use.
What usually goes wrong with the Pixel 9, 10 and 11
- Cracked screen. The most common repair. The model page shows the screen options we offer for your Pixel and what each costs.
- Cracked camera cover or back glass. Falls break the glass over the lenses and the back panel.
- Charging port faults. A loose or dirty USB-C port, or a cable that has worn it.
- Battery or heat problems. Rare on a young phone. Check for a runaway app or an update first.
- Water damage. Water resistant is not waterproof. A phone that has been in water should be switched off and looked at.

Repair or replace?
On a recent Pixel, repairing is almost always better than replacing: a screen or a camera cover costs a fraction of the phone, and Google supports these phones with updates for years. Looking after your Pixel
- Use a case with a raised edge. The camera bar and the glass both appreciate it.
- Do not charge it in the heat. A hot car is hard on the battery.
- Clean the USB-C port gently. A wooden toothpick lifts the lint out.
