iPad Pro repair in Amsterdam: 11, 12.9 and 13 inch, 2020 to M5

The iPad Pro is the iPad people use as a laptop, for drawing, editing or a working day on the road, and it is built to match: a big bright display, a thin frame and a chip that does not slow down. It is also the iPad where a fault costs the most to repair, and where it matters most to have the repair done properly.

Blue Apple repairs the iPad Pro, 11, 12.9 and 13 inch, from the 2020 models to the M5, at Rijnstraat 76-H in Amsterdam. Each model has its own page with the repairs we offer for it: start at the iPad repair page.

What is different about the iPad Pro

  • Laminated displays. On the iPad Pro the glass is bonded to the panel. A cracked glass means a new display, not a new piece of glass, so a crack is a bigger repair than on a phone.
  • Three display generations. The 2020 to 2022 models have a Liquid Retina display, the 12.9 inch of 2021 and 2022 has mini-LED, and the 2024 and later models have a thinner OLED. Each is a different part.
  • Face ID and a thin frame. The iPad Pro unlocks with Face ID. The aluminium frame is thin, which looks good and means the tablet can bend if it is carried under pressure in a bag.
  • USB-C and the Smart Connector. It charges over USB-C and has a Smart Connector on the back for the keyboard. Both can wear with daily use.

What usually goes wrong with the iPad Pro

  • Cracked or damaged display. The most common repair. The model page shows the display options we offer for your iPad Pro and what each costs.
  • Battery that has faded. On an iPad of 2020 to 2022, a battery that gives half what it did. The battery is glued in and replaced with care.
  • USB-C port that no longer charges. A loose or dirty port, or a cable that has worn it.
  • Bent frame. After being carried in a full bag, a bend that makes the display press or crack.
  • Liquid damage. A spill or rain. Switch it off and bring it in straight away.

Repair or replace?

An iPad Pro holds its value and costs a lot to replace, so a repair of a display, a battery or a port is nearly always in proportion. For an older model with several faults at once, we say honestly after the diagnosis whether the money is better kept. Check Apple's list of supported software for your model.

Looking after your iPad Pro

  • Use a case that protects the corners. It is what stops the laminated glass cracking.
  • Do not carry it under pressure in a bag. The thin frame bends.
  • Back up before it fails. iCloud or a computer, once a week.
