Ecovacs Deebot repair in Amsterdam: X2, X11, T90 and N8

Mop pads that stop turning, a station that will not drain, an obstacle sensor that fails or a battery that fades: what usually goes wrong on a Deebot.

Ecovacs Deebot repair in Amsterdam: X2, X11, T90 and N8

Deebots clean with rotating mop pads and a station that washes, dries and empties for you, and the more recent models use a front sensor to see obstacles in 3D. Each of those is a part that can fail, and each can usually be repaired without replacing the robot.

Blue Apple looks at Ecovacs robot vacuums at Rijnstraat 76-H in Amsterdam. The Ecovacs Deebot repair page shows what a typical repair costs per model; the final price is confirmed in writing after the diagnosis.

What usually goes wrong with Ecovacs robot vacuums

Clean the sensors and the charging contacts, remove hair from the brush and the wheels and empty the tanks first. If the fault remains, these are the usual ones.

  • Mop pads that do not turn. The motors that spin the pads wear, and a pad that jams can burn out its drive. A Deebot that leaves wet streaks or drives crooked on a mop run often has a pad-motor fault.
  • Obstacle sensor that fails. The front sensor on the X-series reads objects in 3D. When it is dirty or damaged, the robot bumps into things, ignores cables or stops for no reason.
  • Station that does not drain or wash. Pumps, hoses and valves clog with debris and limescale in the station.
  • Wheel and brush faults. Hair packed into the wheels and brush wears the motors out.
  • Battery that no longer lasts. Cleaning time that falls away, or a robot that stops before it finishes.

Repair or replace?

For an X-series or T90, repairing a pad motor, a sensor, a pump or a battery is almost always cheaper than replacing. For an older N8 with several faults at once, we compare the cost with a new robot and tell you honestly after the diagnosis.

Looking after your Deebot

  • Rinse the pads and clear the hair. A clean pad and brush protect the motors.
  • Descale the station. Limescale blocks pumps and hoses over time.
  • Wipe the front sensor. A smear is enough to fool it.
