HOVERAir X1 repair in Amsterdam: X1, Pro, ProMax and AQUA

A HOVERAir X1 that will not take off, has a damaged prop guard or a weak battery: what usually fails on this pocket-sized self-flying camera.

HOVERAir X1 repair in Amsterdam: X1, Pro, ProMax and AQUA

The HOVERAir X1 is a foldable camera drone small enough for a pocket, flown from a phone or by hand gestures, with a protective cage around the propellers. It is made for casual, close flying, which is also where it picks up damage: the cage, the propellers and the battery do most of the work.

Blue Apple repairs HOVERAir drones at Rijnstraat 76-H in Amsterdam. Every model has its own page with the repairs we offer for it: start at the HOVERAir repair page.

What usually goes wrong with HOVERAir drones

  • Cracked prop guard or damaged propellers. The cage is plastic and takes the knocks, but a hard fall can crack it or bend a propeller. The result is vibration, a wobbly picture or a drone that will not lift cleanly.
  • Will not take off, or shuts down after launch. Often the battery, a motor or a sensor. A battery that sags under load makes the drone cut out as soon as it spins up.
  • Battery that no longer lasts. Flight time that drops sharply, a battery that is warm after use or that has swollen.
  • Camera and gimbal faults. A picture that is tilted, blurry or flickers can be the small gimbal or the camera module, particularly after a drop.
  • Charging port. A worn port means the battery cannot be filled.

The HOVERAir models we repair

Every model below has its own page, with the repairs we offer for it and what each one costs.

HOVERAir X1 PROMAX, HOVERAir X1 PRO, HOVERAir X1 Smart, HOVERAir X1, HOVERAir AQUA.

Repair or replace?

A repair is usually worthwhile for the Pro and ProMax, where a replacement part is a modest share of the price. For an older or entry-level X1 with several faults at once, replacing may be more sensible. We tell you after the diagnosis.

Looking after your HOVERAir

  • Fold and carry it in its case. The cage and propellers are the most exposed parts in a bag.
  • Take off from a flat, clean surface. Grit and wet grass get into the motors and the camera.
  • Store the battery partly charged. Neither full nor empty for long storage.
