A professional drone or robot is a work tool that earns money while it is flying, which makes downtime the costly part. The faults are the ones that every drone shares, flight controller, gimbal, motors, batteries and the GPS module, plus the connectors and cables that get strained in the field.
Blue Apple repairs professional drones and robots in Amsterdam. The drones and robotics page lists the brands we work with, what typical repairs cost and how to send us a request.
What usually goes wrong with professional drones and robots
- Flight-controller or main-board fault. A drone that will not arm, throws errors on start-up or drifts. After a crash, the board is the part that decides whether a repair makes sense.
- Gimbal or camera fault. A gimbal that errors, a camera that tilts or shakes, or a picture that has gone soft.
- Motor, propeller or arm damage. Bent props, a rough motor or a cracked arm after a collision.
- Connector or cable damage. Strained connectors and cables on the gimbal, the payload port or the battery.
- Battery or charging-circuit fault. A battery that no longer holds up, or a charging hub that will not recognise it.
- GPS or compass module fault. A drone that cannot get a lock or drifts in hover.
Brands and models we look at
These are the drone and robotics brands we list, and some of the models with their own pages, each with an estimate of what a typical repair costs.
Brands: DJI, Autel Robotics, Parrot, Freefly Systems, Skydio, Yuneec, Unitree, Boston Dynamics, Universal Robots, FANUC, ABB Robotics.
Popular models: DJI Mavic 4 Pro, DJI Air 3S, DJI Mini 4 Pro, Autel EVO Lite+, Unitree Go2 Air, Unitree Go2 Pro, Unitree G1, Parrot ANAFI Ai.
Repair or replace?
A repair on a professional drone is usually worth it: a gimbal, a motor or a board costs far less than the drone, and your payload setup and workflow stay as they are. For industrial robot controllers and teach pendants, whether we can take the unit on depends on the model, and we tell you before you ship anything. The consumer DJI models have their own guide: DJI drones.
Looking after your drone
- Fly the pre-flight checks every time. Propellers, battery state and compass calibration prevent most field failures.
- Strain-relieve the payload cables. A cable that is pulled in the field is a connector repair later.
- Keep the batteries in good condition. A battery that shows its age in the air is a risk.

The final price is confirmed in writing after the diagnosis, before any work starts. You can use the custom repair form, or call 020 239 11 93.
Common questions
Do you repair enterprise drones?
Depending on the model and the fault. Send a request and we tell you what is realistic. The brands we list are on the drones and robotics page.
Do you repair industrial robots?
Controllers and teach pendants depend on the unit. We tell you before you ship anything.
In short
Flight controllers, gimbals, motors, connectors, batteries and GPS modules are what fail on professional drones, and the diagnosis tells you what pays. See the drones and robotics page for the models and repairs, or send us a request. You will find us at Rijnstraat 76-H in Amsterdam, and you can call 020 239 11 93 with a question first.
