SafePal wallets are small, battery-powered and use a camera to scan QR codes. That makes them convenient and also gives them three moving parts of their own: the camera, the battery and the screen. When a SafePal fails it is almost always one of those, not the keys.
Blue Apple repairs SafePal hardware wallets at Rijnstraat 76-H in Amsterdam. Every model has its own page with the repairs we offer for it: start at the SafePal repair page.
What usually goes wrong with SafePal hardware wallets
- Battery that will not hold a charge. A device that dies within minutes, or only works while connected, has a worn battery.
- Camera that cannot scan. A scratched or dirty lens, or a camera module that has failed, stops you signing even though the device starts.
- Screen faults. Lines, missing pixels or a blank display after a drop.
- Charging port. A port that has gone loose or does not charge.
- Buttons that stick or do not respond. Worn buttons make it impossible to confirm transactions.
The SafePal models we repair
Every model below has its own page, with the repairs we offer for it and what each one costs.
Repair or replace?
With your recovery phrase, a new device and a restore is usually the simplest route. Without it, a hardware repair may be your only way in, and the device has to be opened carefully. We do not need your phrase, we never ask for it, and we cannot recover keys that are gone.
Looking after your SafePal
- Keep the recovery phrase offline. No photos, no cloud notes, and never give it to anyone who calls.
- Clean the camera lens. A soft cloth is enough; fingerprints on the lens make scans fail.
- Charge it occasionally. A battery left empty for months is the first to fail.

Questions about SafePal repair
Is the SafePal S1 still repairable?
Often, yes: the usual faults are parts we can replace. After the diagnosis we say whether the part is available and what the repair costs.
Do you need my PIN or phrase?
Never. A hardware repair does not need either.
