Dreame robots pack more mechanisms into the body than most: mops that lift over carpet, arms that reach into corners, docks that wash and dry the pads with hot water. More mechanisms means more places for wear, and most of what fails is in the mop module and the dock rather than the vacuum itself.
Blue Apple looks at Dreame robot vacuums at Rijnstraat 76-H in Amsterdam. The Dreame repair page shows what a typical repair costs per model; the final price is confirmed in writing after the diagnosis.
What usually goes wrong with Dreame robot vacuums
Clean the sensors, check the wheels and the brush for hair, empty the tanks and clean the dock's contacts and the wash tray first. If the fault stays, these are what we repair.
- Mop module that does not lift, extend or spin. The mechanism that moves the mops, over carpet or into corners, depends on small motors and arms. A mop that stays down on carpet, or one that does not spin, is a module fault.
- Dock that does not drain, wash or dry. The pumps, valves and hoses in the dock clog with debris and limescale. A dock that will not pump, or leaks, is a mechanical repair.
- Navigation and obstacle sensors. A robot that bumps into things, loses its map or will not leave the dock has dirty or failing sensors, or a damaged lidar.
- Wheel and brush motor faults. Hair packed into the wheels and brushes wears the motors out.
- Battery that fades or will not charge. A battery that gives only part of a clean, or a robot that does not charge on the dock.
The Dreame models we repair
Every model below has its own page, with an estimate of what a typical repair costs.
Dreame X40 Ultra, Dreame X60 Max Ultra, Dreame L20 Ultra, Dreame L50s Pro Ultra, Dreame L10s Pro Gen 2, Dreame L10s Pro Gen 3.
Repair or replace?
The X and L Ultra models are expensive, which makes repairing a mop module, a dock pump or a battery much cheaper than buying new. For a cheaper L10s with several faults, replacing may be as sensible. We say so after the diagnosis.
Looking after your Dreame
- Descale and clean the dock regularly. Limescale and debris are what block the pumps.
- Wash the mops and remove hair. A clean mop and brush put less strain on the motors.
- Keep the sensors clean. A cloth on the lidar and the obstacle sensors prevents most navigation errors.

Questions about Dreame repair
My Dreame dock will not drain. Is it broken?
It is often blocked rather than broken. Clean the hoses and the tray; if it still will not pump, bring the dock in.
Which Dreame models do you repair?
X40 Ultra, X60 Max Ultra, L20 Ultra, L50s Pro Ultra and the L10s Pro Gen 2 and 3, on the Dreame page.
