Marshall headphones are built to look like amplifier gear and to take a beating, with a leatherette finish and a control knob in place of touch panels. They last well, and what wears out is predictable: the cushions, the knob and buttons, the battery and the port.
Blue Apple repairs Marshall headphones at Rijnstraat 76-H in Amsterdam. Every model has its own page with the repairs we offer for it: start at the Marshall repair page.
What usually goes wrong with Marshall headphones
- Ear cushions that crack or flatten. The leatherette wears with sweat and time, and flat cushions lose the seal the noise cancelling needs.
- Control knob or buttons that stop responding. The knob is used for every pause, skip and volume change. It can wear, stick or stop registering.
- Battery that fades. A battery that once lasted for days of commuting now needs charging every day or two.
- USB-C port faults. A loose or dirty port that only charges at an angle.
- Headband wear. The padded band and its cover show wear and peel at the points that rest on your head.
The Marshall models we repair
Every model below has its own page, with the repairs we offer for it and what each one costs.
Repair or replace?
Marshall headphones are solid, so repairing is usually a better deal than replacing: new cushions, a repaired control or a new battery costs a fraction of a new pair.
Looking after your headphones
- Wipe the leatherette with a dry cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning products.
- Keep them in the case. The knob and the hinges take hits in a bag.
- Charge before fully flat. Deep discharge ages the battery.
