Premium appliances from Miele, Jura, Bosch, Siemens, De'Longhi and others are built to last, and when one stops it is usually the electronics that have failed rather than the drum, the grinder or the oven cavity. That matters, because a control board or a pump costs far less than a new machine.
Blue Apple repairs premium appliances in Amsterdam. The premium appliances page lists the brands we work with, what typical repairs cost and how to send us a request.
What usually goes wrong with premium appliances
- Control board fault. An appliance that does not start, shows an error that will not clear or behaves randomly often has a failed or damaged control board.
- Motor or pump fault. A machine that does not drain, does not pump water or has a motor that hums without turning.
- Heating element fault. No heat, or heat that is too weak, in an oven, coffee machine or washer.
- Sensor or thermostat fault. A temperature or level sensor that reads wrong makes a machine stop or run the wrong programme.
- Display or touch panel fault. A panel that does not respond or shows nothing, while the machine itself is fine.

Repair or replace?
A premium appliance costs a lot to replace, so repairing the electronics is usually sensible, particularly for coffee machines and cleaners that can be brought in. Large built-in appliances are different: availability differs per appliance, with workshop repair for small appliances, on-site service for large ones and neither where it is not offered. We tell you honestly what is possible.
Looking after your appliance
- Descale regularly. Limescale is the main cause of failing pumps and heating elements in coffee machines and washers.
- Use the right detergent and water settings. It protects the sensors and the heater.
- Do not ignore recurring errors. They often point at one failing part that is cheaper to fix early.
